Morgan starred alongside other actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention and education. The profits from this film were donated in part to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan serves as a participant of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fund-raising projects for the disease and she also testified in front of a specific Congressional committee on AIDS education. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and the Board of Governors of APLA. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has asked her on occasion to fill in for him during AIDS occasions and has presented an AIDS Awareness Special featuring anchorman Steve Bell. She's appeared on Nightline alongside Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan won the Emmy Award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was created specifically for Morgan. In spring, she was a guest alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. Productions like Von Zerneck/Sertner, also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. Her next film was Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady together with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan has also been featured in a psychological thriller produced for USA Network. The film was a huge success and received the highest ratings ever.
